Industrial Designer (Streetsboro, OH)

We are seeking an Industrial Designer to join our growing creative team. In this position, you will be responsible to analyze, visualize, prototype, create and deliver new product concepts and designs. This role requires an individual who has a passion for product as well as a passion for design. We are seeking somebody that will fit into and enhance our culture and understands the processes and methodologies used in creative innovation. We want a creative thinker who can visualize and support their ideas throughout the entire process of product creation; from problem/opportunity identification to 3D model creation, prototyping, engineering resolution and final concept delivery. The ideal candidate understands this process and wants to be hands on in every aspect of bringing a product to life.

Our product categories are focused in the housewares industry, from kitchen tools and gadgets to closet and pantry organization. We are looking for people that are ready to change the way consumers interact with the tools they use in the kitchen and throughout their homes.

Duties:

  • Participates in or reviews market research on new product concepts
  • Researches existing products related to product concepts under development, including review of competitive patents where appropriate
  • Prepares sketch drawings of potential products from general product concepts
  • Prepares presentations to introduce potential products to Marketing
  • Prepares 3-D CAD data for the development of functional prototypes
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree: B.S.I.D., B.F.A, or B.A.I.D.
  • 2+ years experience in Consumer Product Design & Development.
  • Kitchen food prep tools a plus
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative, artistic, and problem-solving skills and the ability to integrate those with functional utility to meet consumer demand and acceptance.
  • Ability to balance design ownership with realities of manufacturability and engineering.
  • Ability to work with others as part of the product development process.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate easily with sketches
  • 3D CAD experience (Solid Works)
  • Solid Modeling / Surfacing skills a must

Packaging Design Engineer (Streetsboro, OH)

The Packaging Design Engineer will focus on developing and designing packaging for promotional opportunities as well as improving current product packaging. This person will additionally gain valuable leadership experience through project management of these programs. Development activities include planning and executing production trials, including process support, and documenting activities through reports and recommendations/conclusions.

Duties:

  • Design and develop packaging to support new promo, product introductions
  • Improve documentation
  • Resolve Packaging Issues in Warehouse
  • Develop packaging to reduce cost and increase manufacturability
  • Coordinate cross functionally with Marketing, Manufacturing, Purchasing and other groups as required

Qualifications:

  • BS Packaging or Equivalent Experience
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in consumer packaging environment a plus
  • Experience in carton design, card printing, graphics, and automated blister design desirable
  • AutoCAD, Solid Works a plus
  • Detail orientation a must

Project Manager (Streetsboro, OH)

The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating efforts across multiple departments to drive effective and efficient product introduction. This role will interface with sales, design, art, and procurement teams. Overseas and Domestic travel required; 10%.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned Brand projects from Sourcing RFQ through production and final inspection.
  • Schedule and run weekly team project meeting to deliver programs on time, cost, and quality
  • Work with sourcing manager to negotiate and communicate first project costs with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage and Drive various projects within the Workfront system to keep project on tracked timeline.
  • Identify critical path activities, drive and follow up on them, and build contingency plans to avoid potential delays.
  • Ensure products within your assigned Brands are compliant with required regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with assistance as necessary.
  • Drive packaging kick off meetings with design team to ensure timelines are met.
  • Create and issue Brand specific packaging instructions and maintain Brand guideline docs.
  • Daily Supplier communications: facilitation of packaging artwork, issuing revisions or product & packaging approvals, negotiating final price.
  • Work with QA gatekeeper working with factory to solve after-market product improvements required.
  • Deliver best cost, safe product with high quality control standards and fast delivery.
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism and support achievement of team initiatives and maintain exceptional attendance.
  • Allow for flexibility and change within a dynamic, growing department.

Experience Requirements & Job Skills

  • 3 + years’ workplace experience
  • Excellent Project Management and troubleshooting skills, highly organized, ability to multi-task
  • Extensive knowledge of product development cycle, production and packaging required
  • Tenacious desire to improve quality, costs and delivery timing
  • Flexible, self-starter, action and results oriented
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel, Outlook. Project Management software experience preferred.
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers is a must
  • Fluency with Chinese language is a bonus

 Warehouse - Production, Shipping and Receiving: 1st and 2nd (Streetsboro, OH)

Position Description:

We are looking for both full and part-time workers that thrive in a fast-paced, team environment. The ideal candidate is motivated, has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Hiring for Production, Shipping and Receiving on our 1st and our 2nd Shifts. Our 2nd shift works 4 – 10 hour days per week (Monday – Thursday). Shift premium applies.

Required Experience:

  • Experience preferred in Warehouse Operations
  • Forklift and RF Scanner experience (for Shipping) a plus but not necessary
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
